Deadpool marketing techniques
1. Leaked footage - started the process of the film being created, showed fan base support, gathered audience.
2. Social media - fans could keep updated with film progress and release dates. Used social media to advertise in unconventional ways e.g. Tinder, not commonly used to advertise, only has a small audience, but images of profile being put on twitter, facebook, tumblr showed all of the audience.
3. Ads and trailers (youtube and tv) - reached a large audience, lots of unconventional advertising, e.g. cancer awarness, holiday vlogging - christmas/halloween, 3 hour tv advertisment slot.
